History

ISG is a Huey family-owned and operated company. Sam Huey is the Chairman, Founder, and President. ISG can trace its roots to the Lee Huey Seed Company, which began business in 1923.

Sam Huey established the term "IP Grain." Identity Preserved is now used as an industry standard but its root for Food Soybeans can be directly traced to Sam Huey. Huey subsidiaries have been making continuous shipments to Japan and Europe from 1960 to present.

  • First to ship Identity Preserved Tofu Soybeans to Japan in 1960
  • First to introduce Waxy Corn to Japan in 1963
  • Ordinary Food Corn to Europe in 1972
  • Shipped Waxy Maize Corn to Europe in 1976
  • Continuous shipments to Japan and Europe from 1960 ­ to present
